Our price tracking feature is a custom built in-house proprietary software module. It tracks the prices of items we review on shopping sites like Amazon.com. We look at the current price and historical high/low prices over a 6 month period, so you can decide if now is the best time to make your purchase. Availability often plays a role, if a manufacturer is having trouble producing a certain model the price often rises. When there are no production issues the price stays lower. Items that are selling well, generally have better prices as merchants are buying larger quantities and getting bulk discounts. Sometime vendors run one-day sales or Amazon runs special sales events where there is a dramatic drop in price. If they current price is within 10% of the lowest price, it's usually safe to make a purchase.
